WHAT IS THE PLACE?
The Place(*).map is the fifth map I have created and
has no connections whatsover to the previous 4.
"*" May vary (I, II, Etc...)
CONCEPT AND INSPIRATIONS?
Sure there is a general concept. In designing this level,
I was aware of the limitations of the Build Engine (especially
after looking at the intricacies and true 3d feel of Id's
Quake (tm)**, or even moreso with Epic's Unreal (tm)**).
Those engines offer super cool possibilities, and true
elaborate architechure that emmerse you in the level.
Then comes build. It is easy to use, i'll give you that.
What I wanted to do in this level is make a quake-like level,
maybe not in atmosphere, but in structures.
**Whatever legal symbols need be here.
THE STORY?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heck (I know the FCC is gunna be breathing down my back because
of that...) yeah, there is a story to this level. I don't really
feel like going into the minor details here, but the crux is such:
Somewhere on earth, a group of advanced humans founded
a city called Guire. The founders were descendants of the Lost Atlantians,
and had fled their Meca to escape a deadly plague that was wiping out the
population. They traveled many days across the seas to come to the Island
of Guire. Over thousands of years the civization thrived on the small island
converting trees to buildings and dirt to tile. The price of land rose
steadily during those times, and by 1454, the only land left for developement
was the wooded burrial ground of the city's forefathers. The greedy people,
tore down the trees and tilled the earth, unaware of the fact that the same
pathogen that had wiped out Atlantis was laying dormant in the soil after
one of the forefathers who had been a host decomposed (talk about bad
sentence structure...). In five years, the entire population had been wiped
out and the city left to ruin. But in 1455, 37 years before Columbus' famous
voyage another explorer stumpled upon the enormous metropolis. He told the
rest of his crew to remain silent about the discovery, but a cabin boy
leaked the information. Word of the city spread like wildfire throughout
Europe and ever since groups have been fighting to gain control...and to
whoop their friends' butts :)

INFO ON NIK[olas] DAUM: Who he is, what he does, and what he thinks of you.
Name: Nikolas Daum
Alias : Wavefront (heehee, it's and SGI joke), Butch, ButtKickr, other
various things.
Age: 16, (as of 1995)
Name: Oh wait, i already did this...
FAVORITE TYPE OF MUSIC: I am just your average teem, listening to mellow
country and hard core rap. (its a joke, son)
LEVELS I'VE DONE: (names will vary) Relic, Place, Station, Waterdown,
NE><US, and more... ( "><" is an "X", Dufus)
WHERE I BE: DALLAS, TX. "The happiest place in heck."
What I think of other levels I have seen:
It is only my opinion, but I think that 95-98% of the levels on the
'Net are crap (most of those not even good crap, but some type
of worse-than-crap crap). I personally don't think that my levels
are crap, but you might (Hey you might even think that yours aren't).
The whole point here is that levels can be viewed by everyone
differently, despite some obvious things that would make levels better.
But I won't preach, I just will go on and on and tell you what to do.
Oh wait, that is preaching, oh well, "do what you want (the 90's
MOTTO?

Wham-Boom Plays: More of The Slam-Booms
---------------------------------------
By Nikolas Daum,
Forward by Dr. Ivan
Forward
Plays, skits, dances, whatever you want to call it; theatre is a
neat thing. It teaches, it informs, it even shows us how to do
things. This collection of richly developed and descriptive quicky
plays is a lot like a good novel. It is short, funny, and has a lot
of words. The only problem is that it isn't really a novel, but I don't
mind. Heck, who reads novels anyway? In this day and age we need something
fast, something that is flashed into our eyes. When you finish reading
this set of plays, you'll probably mutter to yourself, "what the...?"

Ma'am: No.
Bill: Dang.
